Chris Perkel is best known for directing and editing Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives, opening night film at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and winner of the Critics' Choice Award for Best Music Documentary.

 

Other notable projects as director / showrunner include Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert (YouTube Originals), Foreman (EPIX), the five-part miniseries Phenoms (FOX), and In the Valley of Sin (FOX). Prior, he edited projects for Academy Award-winners Morgan Neville and Cameron Crowe.

Chris was born and raised in the Bronx, received his BA from Columbia University and his MFA from the USC School of Cinema-Television. He lives in Los Angeles.
